Jussi Siitonen won the Financial Influence of the Year Award!
The Financial Influencer of the Year Award is given annually to a visionary or a pioneer who has had a strong impact on their field.
The nominees were named by the awards committee, which consists of the 600Minutes CFO event’s Advisory Board members and the winner was chosen by the participants of the event.
This year it was a tough choice between the winner and Martti Ala-Härkönen, the CFO of Cramo Oyj.
Jussi Siitonen became the CFO of Amer Sports Plc in 2011 after working at the company’s financial management department for roughly a year. Before coming to Amer Sports, he worked in various expert and executive positions at Stora Enso’s financial management. As one of his most remarkable professional achievements, Siitonen mentions playing a part in Amer Sports’ turnaround program.
Sharing his insights on the CFO’s role, Siitonen encourages others to break out of the traditionally functional role of financial management. CFO’s should use the informational capacity available in their position for business development. According to the winner it is good to ask yourself every morning: “Do I add value to the company or do I only measure it?”
