Celebrating Retail Excellence At Our 15th IndustryForum Retail Sweden

Management Events hosted our 15th annual IndustryForum Retail (StrategiTorget Retail) event in Sweden recently, on 8th and 9th October 2019. Held at the impressive Stockholm Waterfront, the 2-day bespoke networking forum gathered key leaders and decision makers from the top retail organizations in Sweden.

Known as the most important business-to-business retail event of 2019, this year’s IndustryForum Retail recognized exceptional individuals and companies for their extraordinary work in the Swedish retail industry.

There were 3 categories for the Swedish Retail Awards – Retail Leader of the Year, Omnichannel of the Year, and Store Concept of the Year. Voted by the top retail leaders of Sweden, the winners were announced during the award ceremony on 8th October.

Karin Lindahl of Indiska won the award for Retail Leader of the Year. As CEO of the Swedish lifestyle company, Lindahl shows great courage and purposefulness in being honest with the challenges the company has been, and is still, facing. Believing that the solutions lie in her staff, she values the opinions of both the staff and customers.

Since her appointment in September 2017, Lindahl has succeeded in winning people over on her ideas and vision. She has also shown that she is no stranger to hard work, rolling up her sleeves to help out with tasks.

Omnichannel of the Year went to iDeal of Sweden, a leading e-commerce company selling ‘accessories of attraction’. The company offers their customers a consistently seamless and user-friendly shopping experience, regardless of the channels.

iDeal of Sweden has a clear strategy in developing and building their digital platform, social media interaction, customer touchpoints and physical stores. Their omnichannel strategy, online first, is based on the interconnected success of the channels’ development.

Last but definitely not least, the Store Concept of the Year was awarded to Synsam. An innovative retail chain in the eyewear industry, the company has shown great focus on their customers throughout their digitization journey.

Offering an attractive assortment of lifestyle-based products, the company captivates customers with a simplified yet highly engaging shopping experience through new in-store technology. Synsam launched their new Norrmalmstorg flagship store earlier this year, where the concept strategy strongly emphasizes on customer experience.

Aside from the award ceremony, the winners and retail leaders of Sweden also enjoyed insightful discussions on effective solutions and emerging technologies that are impacting the industry.
