The first ever 600Minutes ICT Trends and Solution forum was held in Sweden last week. The chairman of the forum Maria Kämbrant, Head of IT HW & Platforms Strategic Sourcing at Ericsson, was very proud to announce Jeanette Thorell, CIO of Haninge municipality, as the 2016 Influencer of the year.

Also nominated were Aleris AB’s Adam Fall and TUI’s Jessica Enbacka.

Haninge municipality was praised for practicing agility with their suppliers. Under the leadership of Jeanette Thorell, they made sure that their suppliers were constantly involved in dialogues with municipality administrators from beginning to end. For the Haninge CIO, “Multiple partnerships is the way for municipalities to succeed in the digital journey ahead.”

It was back in 2010 when they started outsourcing their IT needs as in with storage capacity and then steadily moved towards a more service-based approach, like with hybrid cloud solution.

Management Events’ ICT Influencer of the Year Award is an annual recognition given to a visionary or a pioneer who has strongly impacted their industry. The nominees and winner are chosen by the 600Minutes ICT Trends and Solutions 2016 event participants.
